Typhoon Jebi

If you saw on the news about typhoon Jebi hitting Kansai Airport on 4th September and seeing people stranded at the airport that's located on an island. Yes, I was one of the passengers stuck there ... thankfully there was one room available at the Nikko hotel which is in Kansai Airport, but its hella pricy. It was overall a very bad start to my year abroad especially after all that stress in the previous months. Seeing the typhoon in real life is really scary, especially since I had to stay in the train station part of the area where there are no doors to seal it from the outside so you could feel the ferocious winds of the typhoon...

The next day we had to wait for the bus to take us to either Izumisano (Osaka) or Kobe Airport, I chose airport since the people working at the airport said it was easier to get access to services going to Kyoto. I made a friend whilst waiting in the queue who helped me so much to cope emotionally with the situation. I probably would've being more paranoid and scared without her, I'm honestly so glad I met her and she spoke to meだからナミちゃん本当にありがとうね T__T

After the 12 hour wait to get on the bus to the ferry terminal, we took the ferry to kobe airport, at first I was going to find a hotel there but in case of any more typhoons or whatever, I didn't want to be stranded on an island again so I took the train to Sannomiya which is in Kobe city. I found a hotel nearby the station again and stayed there till the next day where I finally arrived at Utano dorm in Kyoto...took 3 days T_T
